Manhunt 1 is a stealth psychological horror video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released in North America on November 18, 2003, for PlayStation 2 and April 20, 2004, for Xbox and PC, and Europe on November 21 for PS2 and April 23 for Xbox and PC. Although he has been generally well received by critics, Manhunt is best known for his great controversy because of the level of graphic violence in which the player is invited to participate. Such was the controversy that the game was banned in several countries, and involved in a murder by the British media, even though this involvement was later rejected by the police and the courts. In October 2007, a sequel, Manhunt 2, has been released to an even higher level of controversy. As of March 26, 2008, the Manhunt franchise has sold 1.7 million copies worldwide.
